Additional Property Attributes

Two underground waste oil storage tanks and associated contaminated soils were removed from this former gas station. The St. Louis Land Reutitlization Authority has applied for a brownfields assessment to completely delineate contamination on the site and perform a risk assessment. The conclusion reached in the risk assessment was that levels of gasoline range organics (GRO) and benzene in subsurface soil exceed the risk-based target levels for residential use. The recommendation is to either remediate the site by excavating soil or to place an environmental covenant on the site prohibiting residential use.

Former Use: The property is 0.468 acres with no structures remaining on it. It has historically been used as a gasoline station, but is currently abandoned. The current owner is the St. Louis Land Reutilization Authority.
