On-site cleanup activities began 5/27/09 under BCRLF Pilot #BL 98706401. Hazardous substance cleanup was conducted first; site was enrolled in State voluntary cleanup program for subsequent petroleum cleanup only. Environmental Professional's documentation that on-property cleanup work is finished (Response Action Report) was completed 2/17/12, although site restoration work was completed in May 2012. Former Use: Past uses include a shopping center 1975-2004, meat packing plant 1918-1974, and railroad facilities pre-1918. Four vacant buildings, 3 ASTs, and a billboard currently occupy the property. City sold to Lindblom Services Inc. (sanitary waste removal company) for the construction of a new office/storage building in 2019.
