Former Use: According to the June 21, 2012, Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Report prepared by PM, standard and other historical sources were able to document that the subject property was utilized as an agricultural field in at least 1938. A residential dwelling was constructed in the central portion between 1938 and 1946 and was demolished by 1976. The western portion of the current building was constructed as a residential dwelling in 1949. An addition was constructed as a machine shop to the western portion of the dwelling in 1972. The building was utilized by Barnard Manufacturing, whose operations consisted of machining and manufacturing bushings, pins, and shafts for farm implements and construction equipment, from 1972 until approximately five years ago. Barnard Manufacturing used the building primarily for storage from that time until May 2012, when the building was vacated.
