Addl Cleanup/Treatment info: The existing buildings were demolished under a City of Springfield Building Permit and PCB's identified during site visit in electrical ballasts, household chemicals (paint) and suspect asbestos containing materials and lead paint were removed and disposed of along with building materials. City inspection identified that all the work was properly completed by 3-30-2013 and this is captured in the City's inspections database.

Additional Property Attributes

At the time of assessment, the site was comprised of three parcels of land, 535 W. Walnut St., 527 W. Walnut St. and 521 W. McDaniel St and was used recently as an auto repair and storage in metal buildings, but has had various commercial uses since the 1930's. The assessment provided Due Diligence prior to Purchase and visual inspection of lead based paint and asbestos noted in the Phase I Report. The current owner has demolished the former structures, addressed contamination, and constructed a mixed use 29,000 square foot development including retail, beer brewing, offices and and 25 loft apartments units. Missouri Spirits, a whisky distillery is also operating on the site.
