Additional Property Attributes

Former public educational buildings used for high school and jr high school.

Former Use: According to Mr. Shepard (school board employee), the school property was purchased by Gadsden County in 1903. The building was constructed in 1922 to house the Quincy High School, prior to development, the property was undeveloped. The building was the second building constructed on the property and housed the Quincy High until the late 1960�s, when the County constructed the Quincy Shanks High School nearby. The buildings were then used until the middle 1990's as a middle school and other educational related functions such as Head Start program. Building currently contains asbestos and signs of heating oil tanks.
