Additional Property Attributes

The property is located in an area of the city that is mostly industrial, and city staff are concerned the property may have been contaminated from flood water crossing industrial properties upstream, since first responders patrolling the area after flooding two years ago reported eyes stinging. Due to the location of the site and surrounding businesses within the same 100-year flood plan, historic off-site commercial and industrial operations, the potential for hazardous substances or petroleum products to have impacted storm or flood water, and deposited on the Site surface soil or impacted underlying groundwater is considered a REC in association with the Site. Based on the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), the TCEQ recommends that a Phase II ESA be completed.

Former Use: The site has always been vacant vegetated land with no structures or improvements. A drainage swale or tribituary is evident on the on the northeast side of the Site leading towards Villiage Creek in the 1942 aerial photograph, and is not evident on later historical resources. Grapevine Trail was listed in the city directories after 1987.
