Additional Property Attributes

Based on the Phase I and II Assessments and No Further Action (NFA) declaration obtained from BUSTR for historical Underground Storage Tank (UST) release citation on the property, the property owner is moving forward with expansion of current business on the property. This will include construction of a new office building as an expansion of his collision repair business. This is scheduled to happen in 2016. This investment is estimated at $250,000 and create three new full time positions. The City leveraged $6,000 in funding for infrastructure improvements along Mill Street adjoining the property.

Former Use: The former South of the Square (Parcel Number 28-19C-05-385) consists of approximately 0.5 acres (the "Property") and is located at 411 South Court Street, Medina, Ohio. The Property is currently owned by UYA Holdings Inc. (Owner - Rick Strickland). Based on information on the current deed for the property it appears that the Property was formerly Parcel Numbers 28-19C-05-163, 28-19C-05-164, 28-19C-05-165; however, the area was re-platted by the City and the Property Parcel Number is now known as 28-19C-05-385. The Property was redeveloped in 2011 and a new building was constructed to house painting operations for the South of the Square Collision Center operations. The Property was originally developed as a residential property in the late 1800s. The first commercial use of the Property was identified as a filling station on the 1932 Sanborn. The filling station activities continued through at least 1948, when the property was listed as a Texaco Service Station in the1948 City Directory. From 1956 until UYA Holdings Inc. purchased the property in 2001 the Property was a used car lot.
