Additional Property Attributes

This historic theater was redeveloped by a private developer. Following the redevelopment the property was donated to to the Temple Theater Foundation (a Non-Profit community based) for continued operation as a theater venue. The assessment activities were completed to support the transfer of the property.

Former Use: The property consists of two parcels of land occupied and owned by the Temple Theater, office areas for the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and Saginaw Choral Society, as well as parking areas. The subject property was formerly identified by the address of 201, 203, 205, 207, and 211 North Washington Avenue; 123 Tuscola Street; and 200, 206, and 210 North Water Street. The property was initially developed in 1895 with 5 structures. Both of the Subject Buildings at the time of the Phase I ESA were constructed in 1927 with extensive remodeling in 2003. Temple Theater Foundation have owned the property since 2010. Past Owners include: SSP Associates, Inc., Jackson Enterprises LLC, Elf Khurafeh Temple Assn, and Primitive Pete Investment Svcs. The Temple Theater Foundation uses the subject property for commercial purposes including offices and a theater.
