Additional Property Attributes

The assessment activities helped facilitate the redevelopment of the property. The redevelopment resulted in teh investment of 1,300,000 in private funding by the developer and created 9 new full time medical professional jobs. The property was redeveloped witb a multi-unit commercial office building.

Former Use: The subject property was redeveloped with several contiguous parcels of land associated with the address 912 South Washington Avenue with a slab on grade commercial structure and the associated infrastructure; including utilities, asphalt paved parking areas, concrete paced pedestrian walkways, and limited greenbelts. MSA Ventures II, LLC intends to purchase the subject property from current owner and developer,Downtown Area Development, LLC and lease portions to to various medical professional tenants. The property was first developed with several structures in 1915, in an area historically known for using utilized foundry fill as a backfill material, with a portion at one time used for a auto truck spring repair and sales, and with several potential environmental concerns identified from adjoining property past uses. Some of the past owner and occupants include (Residential property owners, various nursing homes (Hoyt, Faith, Delta, and Shady Lawn), Beach Spring Supply, Inc. auto repair and sales, Brown Harold J Ice Cream Mfr / Hart E John Butter Mfr, Elbow Room Restauraunt, Reliable Electric, Neighborhood Renewal Services of Saginaw, Dept. of Natural Resources, Saginaw County Land Bank, St. Mary's and Saginaw County).
