Additional Property Attributes

Based on a Phase I ESA completed in November 2012, RECs have been identified due to historical land use that included auto repair. In addition, the presence of a heating oil tank associated with the school could not be ruled out by inspection. Asbestos-containing materials were found above threshold criteria in roofing materials, exterior siding and sink mastics. A Phase II ESA completed in 2013 revealed benzo(a)pyrene in a very shallow soil sample collected within the northwest quadarnt of the property. The amount of BaP was slightly above residential direct-exposure cleanup criteria. If the site is not to be used for residential purposes, no additional assessment is warranted. If the site is to be used for residential purposes, additional assessment is warranted to confirm and/or horizonatlly delineate the presense of the BaP compound prior to redevelopment.

Former Use: The site contains two parcels. The developed parcel was historically residential, and has contained a school structure since the late 1940's, early 1950's that is of historical signficance to the community. The undeveloped parcel contains a paved parking area associated with the school, and historically contained an auto repair facility.
