Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property is a vacant four- to five-tenant building. The property was formerly a junk/scrap yard and auto service station. The building encompasses the area south of West Center Street to the railroad tracks and east to North Main Street. The building was formerly occupied by a bar, sporting goods store, a beauty salon, and a computer sales and repair store. The southern and central portion of the building (102-108 North Main Street) is a two story brick and concrete block building with a newer room addition on the second story of the southwest portion of the building. The southern and central section of the building is in disrepair and most areas were not accessible due to collapsed floors and ceilings. The second story was accessed through the southernmost section (102-104 North Main Street) and had several areas open to the outdoors due to collapsed walls, floors and ceilings. The central portion of the building (106-108 North Main Street) was inaccessible due to locked doors and/or unsafe conditions. These buildings were observed through windows and appeared to be in poor condition. The northern portion of the building (109 West Center Street) shares a southern wall with the remaining portion of the building and appeared in good condition. This area was inaccessible due to locked doors but observations made through the western and eastern windows showed a vacant building with miscellaneous computer and electronic equipment.
