Additional Property Attributes

The subject property is bound to the east and south by rail lines and rail yards, and to the west/southwest by vegetation and a reservoir/retention pond, and comprised of two parcels. Slag fill was used in the construction of the previous hopper pit and ramp that took up a large portion of the interior of the former Erie Lackawanna Railroad building. NYSDEC Spill Number 0651015 is associated with a 1,000-gallon underground storage tank (UST) removal and excavation of approximately 100 tons of soil completed on the Site in 2006.

Former Use: Historically, the Site was used by the DL&WRRC East Buffalo Car and Machine Shops and Yards, Erie & Lackawanna Railroad, Conrail Rail Lines, and Norfolk Southern Railroad.
