Additional Property Attributes

RECs identified within 500 feet of the subject property include the historical presence of, and questions regarding, the concrete helicopter pad located approximately 30 feet west-northwest of the site which was utilized for pesticide application preparation and aircraft washing, aircraft repair and maintenance services within the Heart of Texas Aircraft Engines, Inc. hangar, aircraft painting and refinishing operations associated with the Day Aircraft Refinishers, LLC, hangar, and the forty 50-gallon black plastic bags identified as transite panels with suspected asbestos containing material (ACM) from the exterior of the building. The Geo Strata Environmental Consultants, Inc. asbestos inspector recommended further inspection and sampling of the site structure to determine if additional ACM exists within the exterior building materials (felt), electrical wiring, and window glazing. The forty 50-gallon black plastic bags identified as transite panels with suspected ACM were disposed of on May 28, 2013, at an authorized disposal facility. Off-site RECs greater than 500 feet from the property include underground and aboveground storage tanks, aboveground Jet A fuel lines and dispensers, debris piles and equipment storage associated with the City of Brady Airport and heavy industrial manufacturing from the Loadcraft Industries southwest adjacent property. Based on the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), the TCEQ recommends that a Phase II ESA be completed.
