Additional Property Attributes

The Site is located at 400-510 South Bridge Street, Portland, Jay County, Indiana, as a vacant manufacturing and warehousing facility. The Site includes three parcels of land identified by parcel identification numbers 38-07-20-401-063.000-034 (6.81 acres), 38-07-20-404-225.001-034 (0.96 acres) and 38-07-20-404-001.001-034 (0.59 acres). The Site is improved with a single story 53,295 square foot (sq-ft) building that occupies the central portion of the Site. The building is currently being utilized as storage for miscellaneous office items and furniture. The north and western portions of the Site are covered with grass and trees. The southern portion of the Site consists of apparent former building foundations, and concrete/asphalt covered drives and parking area

Former Use: The property is currently vacant and was formerly used as a manufacturing facility. Prior reports indicate that the site has been a manufacturing facility since at least 1916, and operations have included vulcanized rubber, plastics and painting. Prior reports also indicate that the property is impacted by multiple contaminants of concern. The property includes three parcels of land herein identified as the north parcel, the southeast parcel and the southwest parcel. Improvements on the north parcel include the north warehouse building. Improvements on the southeast parcel include interconnected manufacturing and warehousing buildings (herein referred to as the main building), a former hazardous waste building and a stand-alone office building. Improvements on the southwest parcel include the pump house.
