Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Site has been developed since the late 1800s, beginning with the presence of a few structures, which were most likely used as a stable and a residential dwelling. In approximately 1900, the New England Oil Company occupied the Site and constructed an office building, a 3,000 gallon tank, a �filling oil building�, and several other structures. Between 1900 and 1933, several buildings at the Site were used by sawdust storage by White & Leahy, Inc. and were labeled �sawdust & excelsior�. Between 1950 and 1988, the current Site building was constructed and the Site operated under the name of Allen Street Auto and Foreign Used Cars and was used for vehicle and junk storage, repair, and sales. The Site has been vacant for several years. Currently, building radiators are being stored on the northern Site boundary.
