Additional Property Attributes

Property located at 523 Main St., Carlin, NV 89822; on SW corner of Main and 6th St. The City owns the property and would like to develop it as green space of municipal parking. The property is down gradient of the historical railroad site and there was concern that the groundwater under the site may be contaminated. Soil and groundwater sampling were conducted at the site and no contamination was identified. The site is cleared for redevelopment.

Former Use: Property was undeveloped according to 1885 Sanborn map. By 1920s, a post office was developed. Post office was converted to residence by 1940s. Structure was torn down between 1950s and 1980. The property is currently undeveloped land and is owned by the City. The City would like to develop the land as green space or for public parking.
