Additional Property Attributes

Property is an approximately 10 foot wide easement along 7th Street Main Street between Hamilton and Main Street. It sits between paved roadway and railroad owned property. The City is evaluating the R-O-W to see if the unused railroad property has contaminated the R-O-W. The City would like to work with the Railroad to eventually purchase the abandon railroad property for redevelopment. No soil or groundwater contamination was identified during the Phase II sampling.

Former Use: Adjacent property is a former railroad maintenance yard developed in 1885. It contained a roundhouse, coal and oil warehouses, rapair and forge shops, etc. There were above ground storage tanks (ASTs)that were removed prior to 2006.
