In August 2014, the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority acquired the 1.02 acre property. On July 30, 2015, 17,500 sq ft of ACM roofing material and 5,500 LF of window caulk were abated prior to demolition.

Former Use: The Property has been developed since at least 1888 and has been occupied by various tenants over the years including a sewing machine factory, bicycle manufacturer, automobile manufacturer, warehouse, and more recently a plating and packaging company. The first known commercial use of the property was for a sewing machine factory (Jewel Manufacturing) that was operated in 1888. Following this, the Property was occupied by Lozier Manufacturing Co., a manufacturer of bicycles that operated from 1895 until the early 1900s. From 1905 through 1936, the Property was operated by the Pope Motor Company and later by the Willys Overland Company as an automobile manufacturer. From 1946 through 1976 the Property was occupied by a number of tenants. The Arthen Company/Toledo Guild Products occupied the Property in 1946, the Overmeyer Warehouse occupied the Property in 1951, Toledo Developing and Manufacturing Company occupied the Property in the early and mid-1950�s, and then Romanoff Electric Motors Service, Inc. occupied the Property from 1955 through 1976. More recently, L & L Plating and Packaging occupied the Property from at least 1976 through 2005. The Property has been left vacant since 2006.
