An affiliate of Izzy�s Ice Cream is cleaning up this property and constructing a 1�-story, approximately 5,200 square foot building that will include space for ice cream making, small event hosting, an administrative office, and a retail outlet. The building is designed my renown architect, David Salmela. The new building creates 13 new jobs, retains 10 jobs and boosts the property tax base by 24,765. Cleanup and redevelopment are scheduled for completion in July 2013.

Former Use: The site was developed prior to 1885, when a lumber shed occupied the site. The site was vacant from at least 1904 until at least 1912, when it was occupied by cement warehouse, which was removed by 1939. In 1948, a fuel oil tank farm consisting of 19 21,000 gallon fuel oil tanks associated with a larger bulk fuel storage plan located on the adjoining property northwest of the site. The tanks and structures were removed from the site in the late 1950s. The site was vacant until at least 1983, when a site building was occupied by a security company; this building was demolished in 1995. The property was vacant at the time of the Phase I Assessment (September 2011).
