Former Use: Crucible Wetlands (23.64 acres) is a vacant, undeveloped parcel previously owned by the Crucible Materials Corporation. The Crucible Wetlands parcel currently has a remediation building and three recovery wells; however, this land has never previously been developed. Crucible Materials Corporation conducted steel manufacturing activities on nearby sites, which contaminated some of the properties. Manufacturing activities ceased at this site in 1983. Contamination has been previously confirmed on this site and remediation is ongoing for that confirmed contamination.
