Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Site building was constructed in 1922. Prior to this the Site was undeveloped. Lewis Salamandra was the original business owner at the Site, establishing Domestic Laundry. The business was later renamed Salamandra Laundry. Two single story additions were constructed to the Site building in 1941 and 1952. Members of the Salamandra family owned the Site until Harry Salamandra sold the property to the Baldasarri family circa 1983. The Baldasarri family changed the business from Salamandra Laundry to Capital City Limousine in 1983. The Baldasarri family sold Capital City Limousine to the Albanese family in 1988. The Albanese family continued to operate the Site as Capital City Limousine. Capital City Limousine used the Site to perform maintenance on their limousine fleet. As of 1995, the Albanese family had closed Capital City Limousine and entered bankruptcy. BL Resources acquired the Site in 2006 and later sold the property to Andre Williams and Jermain Collier in 2009. The building has been vacant since 1995. The Trenton Historical Commission indicates that a sewage disposal plant was constructed in Trenton circa 1926. Waste streams would have included disposal of wastewater from the laundry service to the sanitary sewer from 1922 through approximately 1983. Capital City Limousines would have generated waste oil from maintenance of fleet vehicles from 1983 until at least 1995. The facility used for waste oil disposal is not known.
