Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: This property was developed as early as 1884 as a lumberyard. By 1912 the southeast portion of the property was occupied by a fuel and ice business, and developments on the property included ice houses, coal piles, coal storage sheds, a blacksmith shop and other storage sheds. By 1929 a printing business was located in a building on the southeast corner of the property. The building associated with the printing company was razed in the late 1950's. By 1929 the south/southwest area of the property was occupied by a bulk petroleum storage /retail business. In the 1990's and 2000's the property was developed as the Cloverbelt Cooperative, an agricultural cooperative that included an office building, feed mill, machine shop, applicant retail/storage building and several bulk petroleum underground and above ground storage tanks and an associated pump house. The Cloverbelt Cooperative changed names to the Tomorrow Valley Cooperative . Other uses of the property included material storage, including materials from a local utility company (untreated power poles, and the City of Wausau using a portion of the property for storage of chipped/recycled asphalt, gravel, topsoil and other soil excavated during road construction projects.
