Additional Property Attributes

The City of Kokomo and the City of Kokomo Coalition intend to support the planned purchase and redevelopment of the Property. The Property will be redeveloped as a portion of an apartment/townhome complex; the proposed building footprint will cover approximately the western 50 feet of the Property. The remainder will consist of paved parking areas, landscape areas, and concrete sidewalks.

Former Use: The Property is located at 502 East Jefferson Street, in the City of Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana (Figure 1); the tax identification number is 34-04-30-359-014.000-002. At the time of the assessment, the Property consisted of approximately 0.4 acres of land with an approximately 5,600 square-foot commercial building. The remainder of the Property was developed with paved parking and landscaped areas. The Property was located in a mixed-use area on the north side of downtown Kokomo. Based on a review of available records during our September 2013 and April 2015 Phase I ESAs, the Property has been occupied by residences, a social club, and a restaurant/bar since at least 1889, the date of earliest available records.
