Additional Property Attributes

Former Catholic School flooded during Hurricane Katrina. School relocated. Planned redevelopment as mixed use. Developer is currently working with the State's Historic Preservation Office to secure tax credits for the restoration of the Administration Building. Once that's complete, the redevelopment of the site can begin.

Former Use: Holy Cross purchased the site in the late 1800s and developed it as a school with various building configurations. In 2005, the site was flooded during Hurricane Katrina. The school relocated and all the buildings at the site with the exception of the Administration Building were demolished. Perez. Architects is working with Holy Cross to redevelop the site as a mixed use property. As of 10/28/2015, Perez is working with the SHPO for approval of redevelopment plans for Historic Tax Credits. Once the SHPO approves the plans, the redevelopment can move forward.
