Additional Property Attributes

Environmental observations were observed at soil borings B-1 (petroleum-like odor at 10 to 11 feet bgs) and B-3 and B-4 (rubble fill consisting of cinders and glass at shallow depths. These soil intervals were sampled. No groundwater detections were reported for groundwater samples collected from B-1 or B-3 for metals, VOCs, TPHs, or PAHs. Reported detections for VOCs, TPHs and PAHs in soil samples from B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-4 were below DTLs. Arsenic, cadmium, lead, and selenium concentrations were detected in shallow and subsurface soils collected from borings B-3 and B-4 above DTLs but below nonresidential RBTLs. An arsenic detection exceeded the non-residential RBTL for the shallow soil sample collected from B-4 (0-3). The arsenic exceedance at soil boring B-4 was from the shallow soil interval. The shallow soil interval was comprised of rubble fill; a mixture of soil, glass, and cinders. Elevated metals and PAHs are typically associated with rubble fill which is often used on sites as fill material for features such as depressions or building structures. PAH detections were below DTLs at B-3 and B-4 and arsenic concentrations decreased with depth at B-4. The arsenic detection at B-4 and the rubble fill material at B-3 and B-4 are not associated with the identified RECs. Based on the detected arsenic concentrations in shallow rubble fill materials, contractor recommends a soil management plan to properly manage these soils if encountered during future excavation activities.
