Additional Property Attributes

The multipurpose building was built in the early 1970's or late 1960's. It's primary function at the time of construction was a gymnasium with two attached buildings to the East, kitchen - far east and Lobby area that buts to the gymnasium. When the new gymnasium was built, the older gymnasium was converted to a Multipurpose Building. In early 2000, a program was initiated to renovate the Community Centers. Hazardous surveys were conducted. A visual site walk revealed: bare floors to the substrate, walls opened to framinig, scattered debris, missing building components, damaged ceilings falling down, and the like, as to the remediation of all the hazardous building components was still left in question; thus resurveyed in 2013. The 2013 survey included re-examination to determine presense of mold, asbestos, lead, and lighting and electrical components. The Colville Tribes' Response Program hired consultants to provide professional services to update the environmental conditions assessments and provide cost estimates for abatement required prior to undertaking renovation and/or demolition activities at the facility.
