Additional Property Attributes

The Property has historically been a hotel and soda water bottling factory from the 1880s to the mid 1890s. It was then the Parkersburg Transfer Company from the late 1890s to 1920s where it was then listed as a warehouse until the 1950s. In the 1960s, the Property was a private garage and auto repair shop. The Property was occupied by a trucking company from the 1960s until the late 1980s. From 1990s until last year, it was listed as a craft house and children�s adventure facility.

Former Use: The City purchased the Property at 113 Ann Street through a land swap with another downtown private property owner in June 2013. There are no environmental liens against the Property. The Property at 113 Ann Street is adjacent to the City�s Floodwall. It was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and completed in 1950. No construction is allowed within 15 feet of the wall per for the USACE. Currently there is one building located on the Property. Portions of the building are believed to be constructed in the late 1890s. What remains of the original building is believed to be the most northern portion of the building. The building is approximately 7,700-square feet and is mostly constructed of brick.
