Additional Property Attributes

The Victoria Economic Development Corporation (VEDC) applied for a targeted brownfield assessment in April 2013 due to the prevalence of historical oil & gas exploration and production in the area. The VEDC plans to target the property for development of an industrial park, which would attract businesses that pay higher than average wages and increase tax revenue. The RRC used 128a grant funding to perform a Phase I ESA in July 2013, which identified at least 4 oil/gas wells on the property. A Phase II ESA was conducted in July 2014. The assessment indicated the presence of metals above the default risk-based levels. A supplemental assessment was performed in July 2015 to collect data to support the calculation of site-specific cleanup levels, delineate the extent, and ensure groundwater has not been impacted. Based on the data, the concentrations do not exceed the site-specific risk-based cleanup values, and groundwater has not been impacted. No additional actions are necessary.

Former Use: Property currently undeveloped. Former oil/gas wells on property. Plan to construct an industrial park on the property. Predominant historical use of the site has been agricultural.
