The City of West Palm Beach owns the property and leases it to Urban Growers Community Farm (Urban Growers). Urban Growers is a non-profit organization planning to use the property as an urban farm to grow produce, and include related facilities like shade houses, a cafnd other improvements. The Urban Farm will help needing families in this area to have access to healthy and affordable food without having to travel to the grocery stores farther away. The vicinity of the Site has historically consisted of mainly residential properties but also included lumber yards, gasoline and services stations and drycleaners.

Former Use: The site has been vacant for about a decade. Site was developed prior to 1924 with a residential development. The residences were later removed from the Site and an apartment complex and restaurant were constructed at the Site sometime around 1956.
