Additional Property Attributes

The project will be a mixed use of commercial on the first floor and approximately 24 residential rental units. The existing north building and the warehouse on the back of the building located on the central parcel will be demolished. The street front two story building, on the central parcel, will be saved and renovated with an addition.

Former Use: The northern parcel was used as parking lot from at least 1953 until 1970, when the current office building was constructed. The current building was occupied by various professional office tenants from construction until at least 2010, and has been vacant of occupants for at least one year. The western/warehouse portion of the current retail/warehouse building was constructed between 1913 and 1921. The western portion of the building was occupied by a tire company, a transfer company, and/or a sign company from approximately 1921 until 1930. This portion of the building was then occupied by a furniture warehouse or was used for miscellaneous storage from at least 1935 until 1966, and was occupied by a sewing machine distribution business from at least 1965 until 1996. This portion of the building has likely been vacant since at least 1999. On the central parcel, the eastern/retail portion of the building was constructed as an addition by at least 1940. This portion of the building was historically occupied by an upholstery business, various professional offices, a photography studio, a dance studio, and/or a dentist from at least 1940 until 2003, when this portion of the building was vacated. Additionally, review of local street directories identified this portion of the building as a dry cleaner in at least 1940 and 1952. The property is currently vacant.
