Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the first developed use of the subject property occurred prior to 1916 with the construction of the southern portion of the current building with multiple additions constructed during the 1920s through 1970s. Historical records document the former occupants consisted of John Bean Manufacturing Company from 1929 until 1945; Kold-Hold/Tranter, a refrigerator parts manufacturer from 1946 until at least 1990; and the State of Michigan from at least 1986 until at least 1998. According to Assessing Department records, during the 1970s, the manufacturing portion of Tranter was relocated out-of-state and all that remained were office operations. The building has been owned by Clark Commercial Properties Co., LLC, since 1991. The building has not been occupied since at least 2002.
