Proposed future use for either a mixed-use or residential development.

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document the first developed use of the subject property occurred prior to 1892 with a lumber shed located in the astern portion of the subject property. The lumber shed was demolished and a small office building was constructed in the eastern portion, along East Michigan Avenue between 1892 and 1898. By 1906, the office building was demolished and two buildings were constructed in the southern and western portions of the subject property and a lumber yard was located in the northern and eastern portions of the subject property. All the structures and the lumber yard were removed and an auto sales and service building was constructed in the central portion of the subject property between 1938 and 1950. The building was demolished and a convenience store was constructed in the south-central portion associated with gasoline service operations in the early 1970s. A car wash building was constructed along the eastern property boundary between 1986 and 1991. All structures were removed in November 2012, and the property has been vacant since that time.
