Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on a review of reasonably ascertainable records, the site was initially developed between 1939 and 1951. A small commercial building was depicted on the 1951 aerial photograph provided by Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR), a third-party provider of environmental and land use records. According to the Catawba County GIS website, the building in its current form was constructed in 1963, and was also transferred via deed from Carolina Fine Fabrics, Inc. to Carolina Mills, Inc. in 1963. The 1964 aerial photograph obtained from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) depicts the building in its current form, with numerous additions to the building depicted in the 1951 photograph. According to historical records and site interviews, the site was historically used as a textile mill.
