Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was occupied by an automotive wrecking company in at least 1930. The current building was likely constructed in 1935 with additions in 1944, 1945, 1961 and 1973. The eastern portion of the current building has been occupied by various trucking and/or heavy equipment sales and service businesses since at least 1935. A gasoline dispensing station was present south of the subject building from at least 1940 to 1951. The western portion of the current building was occupied by various retail tenants and/or warehousing for the State of Michigan Automobile and licensing division from 1945 to the early 1980s. A residential dwelling was present on the southeastern portion of the property in at least 1951. The current tenant has occupied the entire building since 1983, and has utilized the building for large truck sales and service, warehousing of parts and office activities.
