Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consists of one parcel of land totaling 1.4 acres currently developed with a 46,800-square-foot single-story commercial building. The majority of the property was most recently used as an Art Van Furniture Store, while the southeast portion of the building was used as an auto detailing business within the last year. Sisbro Properties or Sisbro Enterprises owned the property since at least the mid-1980s. According to various historic sources the 1.4-acre parcel has been used for junkyard operations, automotive, residential, and commercial purposes since the early 1900s. The subject property is situated in the downtown commercial district of the city of Port Huron. The County of St. Clair acquired the property in 2014 to promote the possibility of redevelopment of the property.

Former Use: Former Gas Station and Auto dealership. Also former scrap yard on site.

In 2020, a local developer acquired the property to renovate the building by adding additional stories to the existing structure, creating a four-story multi-use building.
