Additional Property Attributes

On October 21, 2013, the U.S. EPA, Weston Start, and the ERRs contractor mobilized to the site to begin removal action activities. The removal of approximately 3,307 total containers: 1,000 small containers, 1,281 5-gallon pails, and 1,026 55-gallon drums of hazardous and non-hazardous waste was removed from the site. An UST is still present, but the liquids have been removed by EPA contractor.

In 2015, the Lucas County Land Bank has hired a contractor to remove the UST that could not be removed by U.S. EPA due to the poor condition of existing building. Once the building is demolished, the UST will be removed per BUSTR requirements.

Adjacent property owner is interested in purchasing property and maintaining the area for green space for neighborhood.
