Former Use: Number of Parcels and Acreage - One parcel totaling approximately 30 acres Number of Building(s) and Square Footage - None Current Property Use The subject property primarily consists of undeveloped land; however, an inactive landfill is present in the central portion of the subject property Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the subject property has historically been undeveloped land dating back to at least 1952. However, the central portion of the subject property was utilized as a landfill between at least 1975 and 1985. The non-landfill area remained undeveloped land. A temporary cover of soil was placed on the landfill in 1985, which has not been active since that time. In February 1991, the landfill permit was revoked due to limited expansion capacity and extended non-use of the landfill. Based upon review of the previous subsurface investigations, impact exceeds the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) action levels in sediment, surface water, and groundwater, consisting of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), metals, and inorganics.
