Additional Property Attributes

Concern is VOCs, TPHs, PAH/s and RCRA 8 Metals Phase I identified potential petroleum RECS (semi truck maintenance repair shop and historic use of adjacent property as a filling station). Property name is Wolfe Property. Phase I report erroneously listed "Welding Shop"

Former Use: The site is located at 317 S Main Street, in Lowry City, St. Clair County, Missouri. The site is an approximate 0.06-acre tract of land that has been improved with an approximate 2,000-square foot building, currently used for storage, and constructed in 1895. The site building physically adjoins the north-adjoining property building. Previous uses of the site include a welding shop, maintenance/repair of semi-trucks, and as an animal feed and poultry sales store. Based on a review of the historical information, and information provided by the site contact, the site appears to have been vacant land until 1895 when the site was developed with the current day structure. Labeling on the exterior of the building indicates the building and adjacent north adjoining building were constructed in 1895. According to the site contact the site operated as a semi-truck maintenance/repair shop from approximately 1974 to 2004. Adjoining properties appear to have generally consisted of commercial properties. According to a 1927 Sanborn fire insurance map, the adjacent south, and apparent up-gradient property was utilized as a filling station. Indications of RECs were identified during review of the historical information: Historical use of the site as a truck maintenance/repair shop from approximately 1974 to 2004. Historic use of the adjacent south property as a filling station.
