The West Palm Beach CRA plans to redevelop the property.

Former Use: The Site is comprised of two parcels of land totaling � 0.25-acres and is currently vacant and undeveloped. The Site is currently owned by the City of West Palm Beach, and being considered for development. The northern parcel is addressed at 2402 Broadway. The southern parcel is addressed at 2400Broadway. The Site is located in a mixed-use area, consisting primarily of residential properties with some commercial/industrial businesses in the area. The FEC rail corridor is approximately 0.1 miles west of the Site. Based on a review of the historical information, the 2400 Broadway parcel was developed as early as 1929. The 2400 Broadway parcel was occupied by a gasoline fueling station between 1929 and 1986 followed by a carburetor repair shop and auto sales and repair facility between 1989 and 1999. Based on review of regulatory records, a 100-gallon used oil underground storage tank (UST) was removed from the 2400 Broadway property in 2004. A gasoline filling station was identified on the 2402 Broadway parcel between 1965 and 1986. During groundwater assessment activities conducted at the 2402 Broadway it was noted that a considerable amount buried concrete was encountered. This was attributed to backfill during tank removal. A drycleaner facility operated on the property adjoining east to the 2402 Broadway parcel between 1950 and 1965. Historical fueling stations were identified directly west of the Site between 1950 and 1986, and approximately 150 feet north and northwest of the Site. Other historical nearby activities included laundry facilities, restaurants and shops.
