Additional Property Attributes

Rainier Court III includes a four-story apartment building and 2-story townhouses for low-m oderate income seniors for a total of 70 units of housing. There will be 12 on-site parking spaces and an inner courtyard. Construction features include energy saving appliances and fixtures, water conserving landscaping and gree certified finishes alon with drought-tolerate plants.

Former Use: Prior to 1950, the Rainier Court site was used as an illegal garbage dump. During the 1950s, the site was used for a a variety of commercial and industrial uses. Uses included welding, storage and salvage. In 1961 a warehouse was built on the site. It was used as storage until 2005. SEED acquired the property in 1999. In 2006 they demolished the warehouse. They retained the concrete slab floor and used it for parking.
