Additional Property Attributes

A portion of the property is under development by the Borough of Glassport for a new public safety building. That building is expected to be complete in Fall of 2016.

Former Use: The Site was formerly a P&LE rail yard, with locomotive house and repair shop structures located on the southeastern portion of the Site, along 5th Street. The Site was used for this purpose from circa 1889 until being phased out of use in the 1980s and 1990s. The structures on the Site were demolished and removed by 2002. The Borough of Glassport took ownership of the Site in 1996-1997.
