Additional Property Attributes

The Perkins Pond property is within 1.5 miles from the central business district and is located within a residential district. The only structure on the property is playground equipment. The City of Newburyport wants to better incorporate the pond within the park for recreational purposes. Because open space is limited in this section of the city, the Perkins Park is critical to the south-end community. (PPF attached to QR 9, 10/1/05-12/31/05)

Former Use: Perkins Pond is within the larger Perkins Park playground. The property is currently not in use.
