Additional Property Attributes

The Lucas County Department of Planning and Development recently purchased the former Hotel Seagate in December 2014 and applied for a U.S. EPA Cleanup grant the same year for asbestos abatement but was unsuccessful. Midwest Environmental, Inc. removed 970 linear feet RACM (pipes), 85,850 sq.ft. RACM, and 27,752 sq.ft. of Category 1 Non-fiable material.

Former Use: The buidling was formerly a hotel with 19 floors and is currently vacant. The asbestos and univeral waste survey indicated large amounts of asbestos materials throughout the hotel and mercury light tubes/possible pcb ballasts as well.
