Additional Property Attributes

The Property is a parcel containing approximately 0.14 acres with no buildings. The property consists of a gently sloping gravel parking lot. The parking lot was used by the senior center which is now vacant. The City of Carlin wishes to redevelop the senior center for community use. The parking lot would be an integral part of the redevelopment.

Former Use: This parcel is a part of a larger property, which make up approximately 0.23 acres. The west side of the Property was developed as an elementary school in 1910. The school moved to a new location in 1963. After the school relocated, the Property was used for city offices until 1976. In 1976, the facility was converted to a Senior Center, The Senior Center was operated on the Property until 2003. The building has been used for storage of miscellaneous dry goods since 2003. In 1988, the existing garage, located behind the school building, was constructed. This garage is used by the police department to install communication equipment in their vehicles. The East portion of the Property was developed with a Lodge building from as early as 1943 until the 1990s when this building was demolished. The building was heated using steam heat supplied by the railroad.
