Additional Property Attributes

A phase I was completed on-site in 2011 and an historical on-site UST was identified as an REC, as well as several off-site historical facilities. A Phase II assessment was completed and petroleum hydrocarbons and arsenic were detected on-site in soils and/or groundwater exceeding TCEQ risk based standards. The site was entered into the VCP and a municipal setting designation was placed on the site prohibiting the use of groundwater. Additional investigation on-site identified lead and arsenic in the on-site soils above the TCEQ standards for protection of groundwater. A Background study indicated that the levels of lead and arsenic in the soil were consistent with background concentrations. Based on the MSD and Background Study, the TCEQ issued a final certificate of completion to the site on June 10, 2015. Former Use: The site consisted of vacant land from at least the early 1940s until 1956 when the site was developed with the existing office building (southeast portion of site) and service yard. By the early 1980s, the existing fuel canopy was constructed on the south-central portion of the site and the existing storage warehouse building was constructed to the adjacent west of the office building. The site was occupied by Lone Star Gas Co./TXU Energy from at least 1956 through 2004, when Atmos Energy acquired the site.
