Additional Property Attributes

Cementitious panels are considered Regulated Asbestos-Containing Materials (RACMs) under the USEPA�s NESHAP regulation and must be removed prior to demolition and in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Class II asbestos work requirements. Other ACMs may demolition activities may be done in accordance with the OSHA Class II asbestos work requirements. For lead, we recommend conducting demolition activities in accordance with the OSHA Lead Exposure in Construction Standard and OSHA Cadmium Construction Standard. We also recommend contractor personnel receive a minimum of two hours of lead and cadmium awareness training prior to working at the site. We also recommend proper removal and appropriate disposal of containers of chemical products; refrigerants, fluorescent light tubes (a source of mercury vapor) and elemental mercury thermostat switches; and suspect-PCB fluorescent light ballasts prior to demolition of the building.
