Additional Property Attributes

The Village of Rothschild now owns the property. Five 4,000 gallon underground storage tanks and associated piping remain in-place on the property. Approximately 2 to 3 inches of petroleum product are likely present in the base of the underground tanks.

Former Use: Property was developed as a gasoline filling station and convenience store. Four underground storage tanks containing diesel and unleaded gasoline were removed from the property in 1989 and 1990. A Leaking Underground Storage Tank Case was opened on the property in November 1992 to address petroleum impacts to soil and groundwater. Twelve Groundwater monitoring wells were installed on and off the property and a soil vapor and groundwater extraction and treatment system. The LUST case was provided regulatory closure in 2003, with a Deed Restriction required. The property has been idle since 2004. USTs are still in place according to Village officials.
