Additional Property Attributes

The Site formerly contained five underground storage tank (UST) systems that were regulated by the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) (BUSTR Facility #48000201). The UST systems removed on May 29, 2019, consisted of three 2,500-gallon USTs and two 6,000-gallon USTs, that formerly stored gasoline. As per BUSTR regulations for UST closure, soil samples were collected from the UST cavity sidewalls, floor, product line trench, and associated stockpiles. Based upon laboratory analytical results from the soil samples collected during the closure process, at least one soil sample exceeded BUSTR closure action levels. Therefore, the BUSTR corrective action process requires a Tier 1 Source Investigation (OAC 1301:7-9-13(F)(3)(b)(i) 2017 BUSTR rules). Tier 1 source investigation activities were initiated on July 24, 2019, with a truck mounted drill rig advancing three (3) soil borings to collect soil samples from around the northern UST cavity. Following soil boring collection, the augured holes were utilized for the installation of a monitoring well. The Tier 1 source investigation analytical indicates that the chemical of concern (COC) concentrations do not exceed the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) Tier 1 action levels in soil or groundwater. Based on this, a No Further Action (NFA) status is requested for the Site. Received NFA from BUSTR on October 9th for UST removal. Removal of tanks and subsequent investigation represents cleanup of this site area.
