The results of the delineation event illustrated that Freon-12 impact exceeding the IDEM RCG Commercial/Industrial Soil Gas Screening Level is limited to an approximately 7,600 square foot area, located in the northeastern portion of the southern half of the on-site building (as shown on Figure 2). In order to mitigate the potential vapor intrusion concern, we advise placing a subsurface ventilation system, at minimum, in the portion of the building shown on Figure 2 to exceed the commercial/industrial screening level. SME is also recommending a pilot test and Remedial Action Plan to determine the exact ventilation specifications. A Remedial Action Plan was completed on April 15, 2015.
