Historically, the property has been under residential use and is zoned as Residential C. The existing six-family home on the property is described as a three story walk up home built around 1920. The home has a finished area of approximately 5,610 square feet. Currently, the property is vacant and was owned by Josephine Peters, who is now deceased.

Property was purchased by the City of Chicopee in March 2015. The existing structure was abated and demolished. Property has been redevelopment with the adjacent 288 Front Street as a new municipal parking lot that serves the City Hall Complex and Chicopee Center business district.
